Which Database Should I Use?


Some library databases are specialized focusing on a particular subject area while some others are general periodical databases covering many subject areas and containing both popular and scholarly periodicals. Here is a brief description of some examples of LRCCD library databases:

  Academic Search Complete - A general database that covers a wide range of subject areas. Many are full text.
CQ Researcher
Lexis Nexis
Opposing Viewpoints
Literature Resource Center
